Waiters at iD Brazil carve skewers of beef, pork and poultry right at the table

Found: iD Brazil, a Brazilian churrascaria in West Haven, 241 Elm St., www.idbrazil.com, 203-932-4000.

My first experience eating at a Brazilian churrascaria (Brazilian steakhouse) with rodizio service was in Brazil. I enjoyed the feast there, and have since eaten at similar restaurants in the U.S. when in the mood for an indulgent meal.

Until recently, this area was void of such an establishment until Ricardo Maia opened iD Brazil last December. Rodizio is a style of service where, for a fixed price, guests experience the waitstaff parading around the dining room with skewers of meat that have been perfectly marinated, spiced to perfection, roasted and sliced table side.
