A chat with Chef Denise Appel of Zinc and Kitchen Zinc in New Haven

We don’t often get to meet the person who created the dishes we’ve ordered when we dine out. It occurred to me, if I could get chefs out from behind the line in the kitchen and interview them, you could learn more about these creative people, their passions and how and why they got into the business.

I also want to give the chefs the opportunity to share one of their favorite seasonal recipes with you. Enjoy this first “Chef du Jour,” and if you have a chef in mind whom you would like me to interview, please let me know. I enjoy sleuthing out your restaurant recipe requests too, so please keep on sending those to me as well.
