Fresh Salt restaurant at Saybrook Point Inn & Spa in Old Saybrook earns high marks

Taste of the Chamber at the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce Business Expo showcased more than a dozen area restaurants late last fall. I was honored to host the event where attendees voted for their favorite dish. Congratulations to Fresh Salt at Saybrook Point Inn & Spa, 2 Bridge St., Old Saybrook, 860-388-1111, Its beautifully presented Coriander-Crusted Stonington Scallops and Roasted Pear Winter Salad With Pomegranate Dressing was the winner.

Overlooking the Connecticut River, Fresh Salt has a AAA Four Diamond rating, a raw bar and a seasonally varied menu. Chef Leslie Tripp and his staff cook with ingredients from local farms and cheese makers.
