Picture this. It is cold outside, the fireplace is roaring, it is cozy in your home, and it’s New Year’s Eve. Perhaps it is the perfect night for a dinner for two with that special someone in your life. An elegant dinner you prepare together will make you feel you are out on the town. So light a few candles, put on festive music, slip into comfortable clothes and get chopping, dicing and sipping.
The inspiration for this column came from seeing ChocolatRouge in a wine shop. The dark red bottle says, “a fine red wine blend with dark chocolate flavors.” Being the dark chocolate chocoholic I am, I bought a bottle. After a few sips, I got thinking, this would be a great ingredient for baking.
