Found: Stephan Ariyan of Branford wrote, “My wife grew up in Bristol, Conn., where every Sunday her father used to bring a Cherry and Nut Cake from Harvest Bakery in Bristol. This was her favorite cake.
“When we married many years ago, she had asked Harvest Bakery to bake her wedding cake, specifically selecting this Cherry and Nut Cake. It was absolutely fabulous. We moved to California and lived there for many years before returning to Connecticut. During those years, she tried many recipes of Cherry and Nut Cake from various sources, and was never able to duplicate it.
